4th - 5th Grade
In the 4th and 5th grade class, we will embark on an exciting road trip adventure through many of America's national parks. Along the way, students will participate in interactive and engaging activities that incorporate trip planning, budgeting, geography, and animal studies. Through hands-on learning and exploration, students will discover the diverse landscapes, wildlife, and natural wonders that make our national parks so special.
During the second half of the year, we will embark on a rich and engaging journey through a variety of new and exciting novel studies designed to deepen understanding and cultivate a genuine love of reading. Students will explore diverse texts and themes that spark curiosity, imagination, and thoughtful discussion.
Vocabulary development will remain a priority, empowering students with a broader and more precise language base to enhance both their reading and writing skills. In addition, creative art projects will complement our academic studies, allowing students to express their learning in imaginative and hands-on ways.
Together, these experiences will create a dynamic and inspiring learning environment that nurtures critical thinking, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for reading and discovery.

6th Grade
Welcome to the Hub 6th Grade Class! Get ready for a hands-on learning experience as we focus on world cultures and community together. This year we will explore different cultural dimensions, and have a unit study of Confucian Asian, Middle Eastern, Oceanic, and Latin American cultures. Each unit study is a deep-dive of that culture’s history, language, literature, art, music, traditions, beliefs, daily life, food and more. We will also work on our unique classroom “community creations” (art projects that each student contributes to), read about famous mathematicians throughout history and do some coordinating activities, and enjoy putting together a skit from a collection of ‘folktales’ from around the world.
